There is a call on your life that only you can respond to. No one else can do it for you; it has to be fulfilled by you. Listening to business leaders share their advice and tips with their audiences fills my cup, and I find that my spirits get boosted each time that I tap into the vision that each leader paints for their captive audience. There are people who have been where you are and who have done what you want to do. But similar to eating, no one can eat for you because in order to flourish, you must eat your own food. Someone else can make the food for you, but they cannot eat it for you because when they do eat food they are eating for themselves. The call over your life is one that you must answer in order for you to fulfill your destiny.
Each person was created with the tools to be great. No matter what we have all been through in life, greatness is in all of our DNA. The key is for you to tap into it. Your success will only happen when you tap into your abilities and consistently live intentional lives. I have felt for a long time now that my personal life will drastically improve the way that I want it to as soon as I make deliberate and consistent efforts to organize my space, develop personal and professional standards, stick to my standards, and thank God daily while consistently seeking His healing and wisdom. I can assure you that the formula that I feel is important for me to follow in order to achieve my destiny is one that is not exclusive only to me.
Have you ever noticed that distractions seem to happen to you each time that you feel ready to accomplish a task? Sometimes, I feel like I am the queen of responding to distractions! One of the most important things you can do to answer the call on your life is to focus. And believe it or not, focusing requires practice. You need to practice learning how to focus on each task at hand. I find that giving myself either 10- or 15-minute intervals of focusing solely on one task is very helpful because it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Once I focus for that set time period and see that I can do it successfully, I feel encouraged about trying to focus for another 15 minutes.
The calling on your life needs your focus and it needs your determination. Also, the world needs you. You are an important part of the universal plan, and you have a choice each day to either give up, give in, or give it all you’ve got. What choice do you think you would regret later on? I know that I will never regret giving something all that I’ve got, but I may eventually regret giving up or giving in on something that I feel that I am meant to do. Life can be very challenging, and it can be so easy to feel discouraged when discouraging things happen. However, life is even more challenging when we do not do our best to turn things around and respond positively to the calling in each of our lives. Focus on doing your part. Don’t worry about how things are going to work out. Just commit to the process first, and then you will see what the outcome will be. And remember, progress is more important than perfection.
